Thanksgiving

Fortney Thanksgiving: Cousins Jacob, Naomi and Nathan. Gotta love pictures with kids under 3... they are all looking at something different... but at least they were still! Nathan and Jacob had a big time playing in the yard forever and wrestling... poor Nathan didn't realize his opponent is 15+ lbs bigger!

This is the rocking chair I had as a little girl!

My Dad has it as his mission every holiday to have us all take a picture in this chair to see how everyone has grown... as you can tell it wasn't very successful! Man, Naomi is soooooo emotional these days. She is a little actress these days... balling when you tell her NO and Dancing when she has an audience! Oh the days of Drama are just beginning I fear.

Daddy and his Princess at the Ashley House!

Our little monkey...

I must apologize to my family for the fact that i did not document any of the GREAT meals or fun times together this Thanksgiving. I think i was just on auto-pilot this year... busy trying to make my picky eaters eat something of nutritional value along with watching them enjoy the company of cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents. I realize that i am way too spoiled and have so very much to be thankful for. So, GiGi and NaNa... if you are reading this: Thank you so much for all you did for Thanksgiving and for every meal and visit we share with you. I can't imagine the day I am in charge of such festivities.

I did not capture some of the most fun memories for the kids. Playing at the pond or on Tractors... or pictures with the people that entertained and served us the most. But I AM very grateful for the time i was able to have with our family. I realize some do not have the blessing of a warm place and warm meal at the holidays.

Ali's birthday Weekend

The birday girl and the BEST sister in Law!
Tigger and Piglet: I felt like this was the last year i could get away with doing something cute like this with Nathan. I had to coax him into it.... you know if you are Tigger you can jump really high!

Naomi's first lollipop! I know she is only 14 months.... but i got desperate after three hours in the car without a nap!

In action.

Ali's birthday cake... it was the worst pan cookie i have ever made... i cooked it too long and used margarine instead of butter and it was awful. Thankfully she was a good sport about it.This past weekend we got the chance to visit Eric's sister Alison in Montgomery, Alabama. We got there on Friday afternoon so we were able to do a little trick or treating with the kids. After we went to a few houses Nathan said, " I'm ready to go home. Let's go snuggle on the couch and eat a piece of Candy." I think that was my favorite quote of the weekend.

B/c we were in a different time zone... the kids went to bed before 7pm so Ali and I were able to go to dinner and leave Eric at home to listen for the kids and vegged on the couch.

Sat. we were able to see the sights and watch the sad UGA game. We were able to go to Ali's big church, Frazier United Methodist, where Ali works with the youth.
It was a great weekend and I am so thankful she is in my life.
